Creating a Custom 404 Page for Your Site

When visitors try to reach a part of your website that doesn’t exist, they'll see a 404 page. This could be due to a mistyped URL, a broken link, or a page that has been moved or deleted. The "404" is an HTTP status code that means "Not Found."

By default, your site has a simple 404 page, but you can customize the page visitors encounter to maintain your site's design consistency and point visitors in the right direction— for example, your custom 404 page could include a link to your site's home page.

How to Create a Custom 404

To create a custom 404 page, start by adding a new page. Customize this page however you'd like, then tap "Publish" when you're ready.

After publishing, tap "Edit" from the page details screen and update the Page Address to /404. Tap "Save" to update the address.

To ensure this page isn't included in your menu, tap on the gear icon from the page details screen and select "Hide from Menu."

That's it! Now, when a visitor reaches any URL on your domain that doesn't exist, they'll see this custom 404 page.
