Your Univer.se Pro Subscription allows you to have a free custom domain. You can link an custom domain you already own through another provider, transfer in a domain you already own on an external host to Universe, or select a brand new custom domain that we will purchase and register for you. 

Why does Univer.se's Terms and Conditions say Univer.se owns my custom domain? 

TLDR; We want to get you up and running on the web in the easiest fastest way possible!

If your custom domain is hosted by Universe, then Univer.se is shown in the WHOIS information as the owner. In addition to making it easier to get you up and running with a personalized URL, it also protects your privacy! (Most domain hosts charge for this service, we offer it at no additional cost to you!)

👉We do not hold any copyright to your domain name, and should you choose not to use Univer.se, we are more than happy to provide you with the information needed to transfer your domain to a new host.
